Arise chicken, arise…..

After almost a month of the PlayStation Network being shut down due to a hack, Sony has begun it’s reactivation but it will take some time. Sony has issued a firmware update along with the reactivation so be sure to download and update online multiplayer functionality will be the first service to be resuscitated. There is a map available on the PlayStation blog that will highlight which cities and states are back up and running. To sign back into your PSN account you will be required to change your password which, after all that has happened, isn’t a bad idea. It’s been a long time since I have reported news but it feels good to report once again. Please give it some time and again check the map that is on the PlayStation blog to see when you can finally enjoy some online gaming on your PS3. Below is Kazuo Hirai making the official announcement, other PSN services are still being worked on and there reactivation date is TBD.

Looks like sony got hacked again. While I can’t say that I support malicious hacking that affects consumers….Sony did stick their dick in a hornets nest, not sure why they are surprised that it hurts.

I’m so glad that Sony finally is almost done restoring PSN. I’ve been waiting to get my Steam copy of Portal 2 along with my PS3 copy, but I haven’t been able to since PSN went down a few days before I picked my pre-order up. Well, I’m still glad that Sony is giving us compensation for their mistakes. ^_^
