Battlefield 4 announced

EA must have a great deal of faith in the battlefield series and really they should, its one of the most popular shooter series available with huge backing from the PC gamer community, not to mention the fact that BF3 is the fastest selling video game in EA history. However for EA president to announce that there will be a battlefield 4 so early after BF3’s release seems a bit unusual, not bad, just unusual. I just hope DICE sticks to their guns and ports to console and not the other way around like they did with BF3. PC porting has become the norm anymore and I think its safe to say that it has pissed many a PC gamer off. Lets just hope that EA doesnt pull another Crysis 2, Crysis 2 was good but also a fail on the PC platform until the DX11 patch came out…..after everyone had already finished the game. So heres to hoping DICE wont let this happen and they continue to put out high quality PC content that continues to set the bar for the PC platform.

BF4 as of yet has no release date, obviously. The BF4 pic at the top only suggests a reasonably predicted timeline for it to release, lets hope we dont have to wait 5 years for it but if thats how long it takes to create another superb game then so be it.

No one said 2017 was a legit date to expect BF4, the pic is purely asthetic for the article.
BF4 may not even get made, well just have to wait and see. But I think its probably safe to say there will be a 4th and that its entirely possible that it gets developed within 5yrs.
