Can’t go to Blizzcon this year? Well Watch it Pay-Per-View style…

I recieved an email from one of our readers, Scotuskilmyster, and was really shocked at what I found inside.

Now you can watch Blizzcon in the comfort of your own home for the great price of $39.99, oh but wait there is more! You also get a exclusive World of Warcraft pet Deathy the Murlock, access to an exclusive sale of Blizzcon merchandise, 4 live channels of HD video programming that has video playback and DVR features, and all the coverage of every panel, tournament, and even the most epic of epic closing ceremonies. Again this is all for the low price of $39.99, thats cheaper than watching a UFC or Wrestlemania! So instead of watching  a bunch of sweaty men wrestle each other to the ground in complete non homophobic ways, you can watch how Blizzard takes a snails pace at making games, or watch some South Korean dominate everyone at the convention in StarCraft!

Ok enough with the humor but is this really what we are coming to? I can watch Comicon, and E3 coverage for free and I have to pay for this? I understand that Blizzard is now under the terror reign that is Activision, but when will companies stop nickel and diming us? First Activision wants us to pay to watch StarCraft 2 cutscenes now we have to pay the price of a game just to watch some panels discuss how the create the game and the decisions they made for that game. There is no way I am paying for something I can find later on YouTube or any gaming site for that matter. What do you guys think? This is thrown out to the general pulic to see if this will catch on and I have no doubts that if enough people watch this, the price goes up next year with less content, because that is Activisions operating procedure, hike up the price and give less content.

It is cool that they are offering “exclusive” access and some dlc BUT I just can’t justify that price point! 10 or maybe even 20 bucks but thats pushing it
I am curious as to how many people got dupt into forking out the cash of this offer….
