Castle of Illusion Getting hd Re-imaging This Summer

Sega and Disney Interactive debuted today a re-imagining of the classic Genesis title Castle of Illusion featuring Mickey Mouse. The game will feature new gameplay elements, and keep the story of Mickey rescuing Minnie from Mizrabel. This is coming off the the huge announcement of the HD remake of Ducktales, so this summer will be full of nostalgia. The game will be made by Sega Studios Australia and will be out this summer on the PS3, 360, and PC. Disney is slowly getting on my good side after the mess that was the closure of LucasArts. Remake Aladdin, Lion King, and Mickey Mania; we may be on good terms after that. The announcement trailer is below along with a handful of screens. Anyone else really excited by all the classic remakes?

I feel the same way with this and Ducktales. I love the originals, but at the same time I was younger when I played them and hope nostalgia doesn’t ruin the new flavor.

I don’t believe it! I can remember playing this game the first time. Hopefully I haven’t got my rose-tinted spectacles on and it’s as good as I remember, but this I have to play.
