Command & Conquer: Generals 2

Bioware is broadening its horizons and breaking into the RTS genre with C&C Generals 2. EA Pacific developed the first C&C Generals which received a fairly good reception and good reviews across the board, hopefully Bioware can maintain the same quality.

Generals is an RTS that took a slight turn from previous C&C games and goes down a more realistic, large scale modern war road. One feature Generals will have that will set the bar┬átechnologically for the RTS genre is its use of Frostbite2. The use of DICE’s engine will allow a phenomenal amount of detail and optimization. We’ll see if the game play can keep up.

A release date hasnt been set yet but it looks like we may not see this until 2013.

Sounds like they are just trying to capitlize on Biowares name. There are very few “trustworthy” names out there anymore so games don’t sell just because they were released. I suspect this is just a sales ploy as the C&C series has lost alot of respect since it was taken from Westwood studios.

Kind of misleading for them to say this is developed by BioWare. It’s being made by EA Los Angeles/Victory Games, which is a studio that has made plenty of C&C games in the past. They just got renamed to BioWare/BioWare Victory recently. :/
