Earthbound hits the Wii U eShop today!

If you never had the chance to play Earthbound when it hit the SNES and don’t want to spend $150 to $200 on a used copy of the elusive cart, then Nintendo has you covered. Announced back in April, Earthbound, the only western release of the Mother series, was coming to the Wii U courtesy of the Virtual Console. The coveted RPG is available for $9.99 over on the Wii U eShop and sports all the new features you have come to expect from Wii U Virtual Console titles. Earthbound was the only title in the Mother series (Earthbound was Mother 2 in Japan) that headed westward. The series has quite a following with the other games in the series being translated by fans. If you have ever played a Super Smash Bros. title and wondered where Ness and Lucas are from, this is that series. The title is available right now on the Wii U eShop for $9.99, check out the video below to see this beloved series in action.
