eShop Update: Mirror of Fate

Sadly, the Nintendo eShop update is the barest this week, but there is still things to be excited for. ON the 3DS we finally get a look at MercurySteam’s new Castlevania game, Mirror of Fate. It’s a direct sequel to the fantastic 2010 Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. The demo is available now on the 3DS eShop. I got to play a bit of it this morning and I am liking what I have seen so far. It has a good difficulty curve, it’s beautiful, and despite being 2-D, the combat from it’s big brother console version remains intact. Do give the demo a couple of runs, it doesn’t explain much off the bat, and the first fight can be¬†intimidating. Also on the 3DS side of things, this is the last week to get the Fire Emblem: Awakening Champions of Yore 1 map for free. My local Target seems to finally have it back in stock, I may be making a run later. The new eShop title up for sale this week is Fractured Soul, a 2-D side scrolling platformer that uses both screens for the action. You can snag up Fractured Soul for $7.99. The only thing to hit the WiiU eShop this week is the amazing Bit Trip Presents: Runner2 – Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, which you can snag for $14.99. I don’t know how may more times this week I am going to promote this game, but I was up late last night perfecting the first world and had to make myself put down the gamepad and go to bed. This game has me hooked, and it is out on almost every platform so why haven’t you downloaded it yet? Jump here for all the details on what I covered and anthing that I may have missed.

Have your say
