eShop Update: The Year of Luigi Takes Off!

This coming weekend Nintendo has two major 3DS games hitting retail and the eShop. The “Year of Luigi” starts with the release of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. The game will be available for download and retail, this Sunday, and retailing for $39.99. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates toInfinity, is the other large release this weekend. Like Luigi’s Mansion, the game will be available for retail and download on Sunday, and will run you $39.99. The third game in the 30th Anniversary Virtual Console Trial Promotion is now live as well. you can snag Punch-Out!!! featuring Mr. Dream for 30 cents on the Wii U eShop. Next month we get my favorite Kirby game as well as the first one I ever played, Kirby’s Adventure for the low 30 cent discount. Zen Pinball 2 finally hits the Wii U eShop. Zen Pinball 2 will offer trials for each of the tables that are available for purchase, and they have included the wonderful Marvel Tables. I have Pinball FX 2, which is the same thing, by the same company, only difference is the name; and I¬†absolutely¬†love it. Most of the standard tables are good, but the Marvel ones are by far may favorite and worth every penny. Sadly, Zen Pinball 2 does not have the Star Wars tables available right now. On sale this week on the 3DS eShop is the Pokemon Pokedex 3D Pro. You can check out over 640 Pokemon in bright, and shinny 3D for the discounted price of $9.99. Mutant Mudds is a fantastic little platformer, I played the demo for it last year while waiting at an airport, and now it’s the low price of $5.99, it may just be on my 3DS by the end of the day.

What a testiment of time . . . Luigi (and Mario) have been around for quite some time now and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon should be great!
