From the Creators of Bastion comes Transistor
Bastion was one of those games I didn’t go into knowing a whole lot about, but came out completely captivated. Bastion is easily my favorite Indie title and I went back and played it several times just out of how much I enjoyed it. I bought the soundtrack and featured it on Gaming in Stereo a while back and still listen to it today. Supergiant Games have now taken the veil off their follow up to the remarkable Bastion, Transistor. Transistor is a Sci-Fi themed action RPG where you play as Red, a girl that stumbles upon the Transistor, the awesome looking sword Red is carrying. The art style is very reminiscent of Bastion’s and has a very anime/Blade Runner vibe, which I am digging. Unfortunately, the game will not be dropping until 2014, but on the bright side, you can watch the spectacular trailer until your heart is content. If the music in the trailer is any indication of what to expect in Transistor, I will be buying another soundtrack from Supergiant Games. If you head over to Supergiant Games, you can score a piece of Transistor’s artwork in 1920 X 1080 wallpaper format. No official release date or platforms have been announced other than the 2014 date, I wish I had a time machine.
