GamersChat for the week of 10/7

This weeks gamerchat was very interesting to record and put up here. AceOfNades came on the show and we had a good show including, news, the Medal of Honor debate, and the California game law that will be heard by the Supreme Court next month, enjoy. If anyone would like to hear a topic on the show just shoot it in the comments. Thanks for taking the time to listen.

@ Zarik….Oregon Trail Taught me “You have collected 8000lbs of beef but you can only carry 22 pounds… would you like to leave the rest?” Oregon trail was seriously awesome though. I spent a long damn time playing that game.

Too Human I never played… I was actually pretty excited about the game but then came the less then stellar reviews and I decided not to touch it.

Personally I don’t think it’s the governments or the peoples right to get involved with how a company “names” games. Counter Strike uses Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists so I don’t see what the big deal is… We use Jerrys, Germans, Nazis, Japs etc in all of our other war games why is this such a hot issue. The germans and the japanese killed 1000 times more American soldiers then the Taliban ever has. I don’t see what the big fuss is here. I certianly do believe some tact is in order but I think this is getting taken way to far and as the military said it will still not carry the game I see no need to change it and if they already have they should just patch it.

Ok first off Too Human wasn’t a handful of corn.. it was… well a bag of melted m&m’s haha it was a good game just not a great game even though it was in dev for i think 10 years….
the MOH issue yeah that is a tuff subject sometimes you simply satisfy the public AND use your 1st amendment rights as well I support the decision to remove the the “taliban” name if they truly removed it out of respect but part of me feels this was a sales driven move.
the ex-lawer and California court hearings are alittle scary due to the fact that this was all done back in the 80’s with explict lyrics in music so if it passes in some form then it will be a gateway to censorship of all entertainment. that is something no one wants
well thats enough of my opinions guys great chat keep em coming!
