Games We Miss: Sim Copter

Today I thought I would do something a little bit different.  Instead of talking about new upcoming games or current games I thought I’d talk about an old favorite of mine.  It’s a game that was mildy underrated but brilliant all the same.  That game is Sim Copter.

Why liked it:

Sim Copter was released in 1996.  You’d grab a helicopter, fly around a city, complete missions, put out fires, stop aliens and even blow up buildings *yes there was a military helicopter*.   It was the customizeability that made it great.  In addition to having a large number of helicopters to fly around you could import your own Sim 2000 cities, insert your own drive in videos, modify the radio and there were a large number of cheats and buts to boot.  You could also fly around a military helicopter and “stop” large riots which was incredibly entertaining.  Seeing your creations come to life and be able to fly around in them was just incredibly satisfying.

What we miss:

Like I said Sim Copter was a simple game but it brought us back to a time when games were designed to be fun, simple and most importantly customizeable.  That is why we could play sim copter over and over again because you could load endless amounts of content into it and still have fun.  It’s that customizeability that has all but disappeared from the gaming industry expect for indie developers that I missed most about this game.

I’d love to see a remake of this game assuming we could load our new Sim City cities into it and be able to fly around and walk in.   Sadly I don’t see this happening anytime soon because of all of the cloud integration and DLC content deliverables.

EA company had got many companies rights , maxis was one of them , but that after when sim copter out m I think sim copter was released on 1996 , EA bought the companies rights as I remember it was on last 1990s , you can get the nearly date by tracking the game histories as like sim city or command and conquer , if you guys wish this game ( as I wish also) to be released a sequel with new modern style , why not asking EA , or , there are many developers making on game store programs like ( steam ) , I think you can find a developer asking him to make a remake ( as what happened to space sim game called frontier , they remake it on different names like pioneer and paragon ) or create a new game with same idea

Revisa y ademas visita mi web… grand theft auto v

With the 32 markets the PS4 does launch within right at the end of 2013, House said Sony can provide a solid
supply for consumers through the entire holiday season.
GTA certainly takes the lead in terms in the Sandbox genre,
and everyone who has played it knows the reason behind this.

On live uses the cloud to allow members play premium video games over the net without resorting to a console.
This problem can be challenging to fix, which is the reason many people
will show you to send your console over to Sony, but are these claims really your only option.

I do miss SimCopter. It was the first game to introduce us to that lovable language, Simlish. Litzergam!
