Gaming in Stereo: Advent Wednesday

Back in 2005, Video Games Live debuted and launched video game music to the popularity it so rightfully deserved. Video Games Live was a live concert event founded by Jack Wall of Mass Effect fame and Tommy Tallarico of Advent Rising fame. Video Games Live brought the musical compositions found in video games to life in a traditional concert setting, while having local musicians perform the songs in this grand setting. Today’s track is from one of my favorite games of all time, but is off the Video Games Live: Level 2 album. Advent Rising Overture is a collection of themes from Advent Rising performed live by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. This concert series had brought gaming music into the spotlight, and has become so popular, Video Games Live: Level 2 hit number 8 on the Billboard charts when it debuted. I hope to see Video Games Live perform later this year. I hope you enjoy the music and appreciate what our media has become as much as I do. Happy Advent Wednesday!

Again this is a game that I still haven’t played. I have been attempting to get myself to play this game but I haven’t had the chance or the initiative.

It’s actually on my list of games to play but sadly I still don’t have time to do so!!!
