Gears: Judgment Calls to Arms Next Week
The first new map pack for Gears of War Judgement will release next week. The Call to Arms map pack will provide you with 3 new maps, 1 new game mode, 6 gun and armor skins, and 10 new achievements. The three maps include are Terminal (which will serve as an Overrun map), Blood Drive (which is a remake of a map for Gears 2), and Boneyard (which will serve as a standard map). The Gears community has been voting recently, to see which map would be remade for Judgement. Blood Drive is an excellent map and it made it’s way back into Gears 3 and now Judgment. The new game mode is “Master at Arms” and will play similar to the Arms Race mode from Counter Strike. It is a free for all mode where you must use each of the 20 weapons and not resort to melee or grenades. Since Gears 1, the franchise has been kind of a Gnasher fest, it will be interesting to see how people handle this mode now that they can’t resort to that weapon or the ever annoying two-piece maneuver. The Call to Arms map pack will be out for Season Pass holders on April 23rd, and is included with the season pass. Anyone that wants the maps and mode but not the season pass will have to wait until April 30th and it will run you 1,000MP. There is a special event this weekend that will put the loadouts back to the previous Gears titles where you have a rifle of your choice and Gnasher equipped. The special event has been loaded into the servers and will give double XP for the playlist. The melee system has been tweaked as well now 3 hits will result in a kill instead of 2. The people at Epic and People Can Fly are actively listening to the community and trying to help make Judgment a great experience for all. Screens of the new maps below.
