Halo 4 Castle Map Pack has Landed.
The third map pack for Halo 4 hits today bringing with it 3 medium maps that are perfect for the new 6 vs. 6 team objective gametype. I am a huge fan of objective gametypes, working together and winning as a team are huge draws for me; K/D ratios are boring and are just numbers. The Castle Map Pack is available via the in game marketplace, which is where any season pass holders should download it from, and is in the Live Marketplace as well. The new maps are Outcast, Daybreak, and Perdition. The maps fit between the Crimson and Majestic maps, but can be a little big for 4 vs. 4 battles. I will be hoping on the new maps and playlist as soon as my day is finished. I went back with friends the other night, after an absence, and it felt like home. Halo has always been my go to shooter of choice, and it felt like a friend was welcoming me back. Having the chance to get a triple from plasma sticking a Warthog, is a feeling unlike any other. If you have not downloaded any of the map packs, or the season pass, they will be on sale starting on Friday April 12th. The season pass will run you 1600 MP (Originally 2000) and the Crimson and Majestic packs will run you 600 MP (originally 800 MP). As part of the update that is hitting today as well, there is a new skill ranking system that will run concurrent with your overall rank. The new Competitive Skill Rank or CSR, will try and match you with people of your skill level and try to balance the overall game. There will be a number to correlate your in game skill 1-50. There is much to like in this recent update and map pack, check out the screens below of the latest maps to hit the War Games.
