It came from Evo 2013 (News)
Not just being the biggest fighting game tournament, Evo is a place for fighting game info to be announced. This past weekend we got two huge pieces of information reguarding Street Fighter IV and Injustice: Gods Among Us. Injustice is indeed getting Martian Manhunter that was teased during the Scorpion reveal video. Street Fighter IV will be receiving a new addition in the form of Ultra Street Fighter IV. This new addition will include five characters, six new levels, re-balanced gameplay, new modes, and will be available in a slew of formats. Check out the scoops on both of these titles below as well as screen shots and videos.
Injustice: Gods Among Us – Injustice will be receiving its fifth downloadable character in the form of Martian Manhunter. He has been in the background of the Watchtower level and was teased at the ending of the Scorpion reveal trailer. There is no date as of yet, but the price should be inline with the other DLC combatants at $4.99. Accompanying Martian Manhunter to the realm of Injustice is a downloadable skin for the Green Lantern, Jon Stewart. Jon Stewart was teased in the concept art for Hal Jordan, and will have his own lines voiced by Phil LaMarr, who provided his voice during the 2001 Justice League T.V. show. Martian Manhunter will also receive his Justice League cast member, Carl Lumbly, providing the voice overs. Once there is a date and price I will post it later. Check out the trailer below.
Ultra Street Fighter IV – This will be the newest in the line of Street Fighter IV titles. Following the recent Arcade Edition, Ultra Street Fighter IV will include everything that has be released so far, while adding a content. Five new fighters will be added, four of which we know the names of. Hugo, Poison, Elena, and Rolento will the four of the five, with the fifth being a brand new character never seen before in a Street Fighter Game. The game will release for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC early next year and will come in a variety of flavors. The game will be in a standalone retail copy for $39.99. You can also download it as a full download or do a digital upgrade if you have a previous entry. I have the Arcade Edition that came with my Anniversary Collection I purchased last year so I will be getting the upgrade. The demand for this game in the community and the fighting tournament scene is huge, so there is not yet a need for a Street Fighter V. Check out the screens below and when the fifth, all new character is announced we will be right here reporting on it.
