Mario Kart 8 Defies Gravity

We new from earlier announcements that a new Mario Kart was going to be revealed at E3 for the Wii U. To mine and many others, what we got looks to be the best Mario Kart yet. The game has been confirmed to run at a blistering 60 FPS and in full 1080P. The game will continue to feature the gliding and underwater sections from Mario Kart 7 on the 3DS as well as bringing the motorcycles back from Mario Kart Wii. For everyone giving the Wii U flack about being an under powered machine, the game looks vibrant, clean, and downright  beautiful. The new feature they are adding to Mario Kart 8 is the ability to defy gravity and race on the walls and ceilings. Now, I imagine that this new mechanic will be present as a short cut on some tracks, but there are also some tracks that have taken ques from F-Zero and have tracks that resemble roller coasters. I have heard that there will be kart customization, but no word on what the breakdown of that will be like. If they can keep the number of original tracks high, and include previous tracks in a different circuit tournament, we could be looking at the best Mario Kart yet. I am legitimately excited for this title and to go online and deploy some blue shells. The official trailer is below as well as a hand full of screens. Mario Kart 8 Will be out on the Wii U in the Spring of 2014.
