New Screens Emerge of the Dark Knight In Arkham Origins
We now that we are getting a new Arkham title this year, though it may not be from Rocksteady. It will use the same modified Unreal 3 engine and from what I am gathering the combat and other mechanics will be intact. Arkham Origins will be a prequel telling the rough outings of a young Bruce Wayne as he goes up against a rogue gallery out to end the Batman. He will see the likes of Deathstroke and Black Mask among others. We finally snagged some screens from the upcoming title and the style is keeping inline with the other Arkham titles. I like the design of Batman’s costume. It reminds me of the Insurgence variant in Injustice. It looks homemade, it looks like it was made without experience; it’s built like armor. Kevin Conroy will not be reprising the Dark Knight, and as that may be unsettling to some, this is a younger Batman. Bruce Greenwood has been doing a good job with the Cape and Cowl in Under the Red Hood and Young Justice. Who I think should play Batman is Benjamin McKenzie who voiced the Dark Knight in Batman: Year One. Enjoy the screens and any other information I come across I will be sure to pass along for this much anticipated title. Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on October 25th, 2013 for the PC, Wii U, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
