Nintendo was busy this morning announcing some titles for the Wii U and the 3DS, but there really was not any big surprises and we were expecting at least one big one for this year. We already so some release dates for a couple of the Wii U’s big titles. The Wonderful 101 will be out on September 15th and Pikmin 3 will be out on August 4th. We have some info on games that were announced and some release dates for titles we knew that were in the pipeline.
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD (Wii U) – This title was scene for the first time in action and looks beautiful. There have been a few gameplay tweeks, but the overall game is remaining the same.

Pokemon X & Y (3DC) – The next iteration of Pokemon is almost upon us, and the 3DS is looking ripe with power to deliver 3D models in the handheld Pokemon series.
Release Date: October 12th
Wii Party U (Wii U) – This was a title that was announced at an earlier Nintendo Direct and will have 80 new mini games to go along with the release. This game is getting a tiny delay as they implement more features into the title.

Wii Fit U (Wii U) – More of the same from the Wii Fit camp. This title was shown off at an earlier Nintendo Direct and has seen a delay because of new features being implemented.

Codename X (Wii U) – this is a title that we saw on a previous Nintendo Direct as well and this is coming from Monolith Soft, the creators of Xenoblade Chronicles. The game will feature a large open world, mechs, and large enemies. This is also the first time we are seeing the title in it’s localization form as well. The title is beautiful and shows that the Wii U does have some horsepower under that shell.
Release Date: 2014
Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical Freeze (Wii U) – This was their big surprise today we knew the rest of the titles on this list were coming in some way shape or form. This will be a sequel to hit title on the Wii, and will feature better graphics, new design choices, ad Dixie Kong will be returning to the mix. This was the surprise title the Retro Games was working on.
Release Date: November
Super Mario 3D World (Wii U) – This is the next 3D Mario title from the team behind Mario Galaxy. The game is a sequel to the 3DS title with the similar name and will have 4 Player co-op. You will get to play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad; each will have their own abilities similar to those in Super Mario Bros. 2.
Release Date: December 2013
Super Smash Bros. (Wii U/3DS) – The one thing everyone and including myself was looking for this morning was Smash Bros. There will be two different versions, but we do not know yet if they will work together with one an other. The 3DS sports a cell shaded, Street Fighter IV visual motif, while the Wii U looks fantastic in stunning HD. We also get the inclusion of a guest character, Mega Man. Mega Man appears to have some robot master powers that he is bringing to the fight. This game is so far looking fantastic, but it’s a little way out and most of the roster has yet to be announced.
Release Date: 2014
Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) – A new entry in the venerable kart racing series and it is looking great. This is the best the racer has ever looked and motorcycles return from the Wii version. The new mechanic will have you driving on walls and ceilings, so while you defy gravity you can climb up the places. The game will retain the water and hang gliding segments from Mario Kart 7.
