Nintendo Direct: Professor Layton Objects!

 

Early this morning Nintendo brought some new information on upcoming 3DS and Wii U titles, and an announcement that is sure to please Professor Layton fans. The big “reveal” for this direct came in the form of Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright will becoming to the States in 2014. This 3DS crossover title was released in Japan in 2012 and was well received. There has been strong interest for this title here in the west, and Level-5 and Capcom are finally obliging us. In other Layton related news, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, which is hitting Japan in November, will be coming to North American 3DS owners later next year. Outside of these two announcements there was plenty of other release dates and details on upcoming games, let check them out.

 

Sonic: Lost World

– 3DS and Wii U versions hitting on October 22nd.

 – There will be connectivity between the two versions. 

 

Rayman Legends

– Up to 5 player co-op

– The Wii U version will receive special Mario and Luigi costumes for Rayman and Globox.

– The game launches on September 3rd.

 

Pokemon Rumble U

– Will be hitting the Wii U eShop exclusively

– Will include all 649 Pokemon.

– Collectible figures that interact with the Wii U Gamepad will be sold at Game Stop, 18 figures in all.

– Available August 29th.

 

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

– There will be two worlds, just as in a Link to the Past, a light and dark respectively.

–  The game will take place many years after LTTP, and feature a new Link.

– The game will ship this November.

 

Animal Crossing Plaza

– A free Application on available on the Wii U.

– You can share information, screen shots, and meet Animal Crossing fans.

– Has direct connection to the new Animal Crossing Community page on Miiverse.

– The service will run through 2014.

 

There was just a small bit of information regarding the Wii U and 3DS versions of Super Smash Bros. Some one is joining the battle and he would like to say hi!

 

You can watch the Nintendo Direct in its entirety below, it will run you 27 minutes but features gameplay video for many of the titles above. There will be a special Nintendo Direct featuring the Wonderful 101 on August 9th at 10 A.M. EST.
