PlayStation Network Update: The Fight Continues into Bacon

Releasing this week on the PSN is one of my brothers and I favorite PS1 games, Hogs of War. Hogs of War was a real time strategy game that featured a World War 1 styled setting and some great charm. You can add the PS1 Classics to your collection for $5.99. Dead or Alive 5 Plus is out on the Vita today along with a very sizable demo. The demo weighs in at 2.5 GB so please give it some time if you plan on playing the demo. There are two new fighters and one new stage for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Zeus from God of War and Issac Clark from Dead Space join the mix. The new level “Graveyard” is a mash up of MediEvil and The Unfinished Swan to give a truly unique looking arena. Both characters are $4.99 a piece or bundled together for $9.99. The “Graveyard” level will run you $1.99; all fighters and levels are enabled with cross buy. There are some good sales on PSP/Vita games that can knock  off up to 50% off, here is the list:

Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded – PSP Game (now: $4.99 original price: $9.99)

Capcom Classics Collection Remixed – PSP Game (now: $4.99 original price: $9.99)

Capcom Puzzle World – PSP Game (now: $4.99 original price: $9.99)

Darkstalkers: Chaos Towers – PSP Game (now: $4.99 original price: $9.99)

Lights! Camera! Party! – PS3 Game (now: $9.99 original price: $14.99)

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite – PSP Game (now: $9.99 original price: $19.99)

Power Stone Collection – PSP Game (now: $4.99 original price: $9.99)

Persona 4 Golden – PS Vita Game (now: $29.99 original price: $39.99)

Persona – PSP Game (now: $9.99 original price: $19.99)

Persona 2: Innocent Sin – PSP Game (now: $14.99 original price: $29.99)

Persona 3 Portable – PSP Game (now: $9.99 original price: $19.99)

Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max – PSP Game (now: $4.99 original price: $9.99)

Susume Tactics! – PSP Game (now: $2.49 original price: $4.99)

Ultimate Ghosts ‘N Goblins – PSP Game (now: $4.99 original price: $9.99)

$5 for both Power Stone games is a steal. Both of those games defined my Dreamcast days, if I didn’t still have the UMD I would be picking that up. There is lots to love in the sale, lots of good fighters, RPG’s, and Monster Hunter. On the PlayStation Plus side, there are two new games added to the Instant Game Collection, The Cave and Tekken 6 (PSP). It’s surprising to The Cave being offered already, it was just released back in January. Tekken 6 is the PSP version of the title which can be downloaded and played on the Vita. One last thing I would like to highlight are a couple of bundles, two Dead or Alive bundles and a Darksiders bundle. The two Dead or Alive Bundles are the Dead or Alive 5 bundle for $69.99 which includes the PS3 version of the game and the PS Vita version, then there is the Dead or Alive 5 Plus and Dead or Alive: Paradise bundle that includes the newly released Vita title and the PSP title at a discount of $49.99. Lastly, there in a Darksiders bundle that includes Darksiders, Darksiders 2, and all the DLC for 2, all for the price of $69.99; which frankly, is a steal. As always, head over to the Official PlayStation Blog for all the details and anything that I may have missed.

this. Please let me know if you run into anything.
