PlayStation Update: Huge sales and a Blood Dragon

There is a lot in this week’s PlayStation Store update and I hope everyone took advantage of the Resident Evil sale last week. I ended up snagging Resident Evil 2 & 3 for my Vita, and RE 2 despite being released in 1998, holds up surprising well (though the voice acting is pretty awful). If you though last week’s sales broke your wallet, your wallet will run in fear from this weeks. But first let’s get to what is new on the network this week. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 hits in downloadable form for $19.99 as well as this week’s release of Deadly Premonition: The Directors Cut, which will run you $39.99. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon hit the PSN first and will run you $14.99. Poker Night 2, which landed on the PC and 360, last week hits the PSN this week for $9.99. Soul Sacrifice, the game we got a demo of last week, hits the Vita for a discount at $35.99. There is an email being sent out by Sony with a code for free DLC offered through the PSN, so check your email. The PS2 classic this week is one of my favorites, Katamari Damacy. You can snag the ball rolling collect-a-thon for ($9.99). There are tons of sales this week starting with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale being discounted for the PS3 and Vita ($27.99 and $24.99 respectively). If you buy the PS3 version it does have the cross buy option, so you get both versions for three dollars more. The rest of sales are based on the characters in PSASBR. Everything from Bioshock; to Metal Gear; to Sly Cooper; to Little Big Planet and more is on sale. There is literally too much on sale to list here so I will just leave the jump at the end for you to check it out. I already have some things picked out I was going to grab, Infamous 2’s Festival of Blood and Secret Agent Clank are they only two games from both series I do not own and at the prices I am not passing them up. I was thinking on getting Twisted Metal Black as well, but I may hold off seeing if I can get a copy of Twisted Metal (2012) that had a code to download Black for free. One last thing the Star Wars tables for Zen Pinball have been discounted to $4.99 through the 8th in celebration for May 4th. Grab up these great tables while you can. To get the huge list of sales and everything that I didn’t cover head over the official PlayStation Blog for all the details.
