Ratchet and Clank Coming to Theaters in 2015

Ratchet & Clank will hit the big screen in 2015, which is awesome. The series has always had a Pixar like feel to the cutscenes and well now, we get to see how they look on the big screen. Ratchet & Clank will be a retelling of the first game and how our two titular heroes met as they stop Chairman Drek from destroying planets. The film will be produced by Blockade Entertainment and Rainmaker Entertainment (best known for Reboot and Beast Wars: Transformers, which both are awesome!). It will be distributed by Sony Computer Entertainment. The series voice actors will return, which is awesome that they didn’t go after some Hollywood big names to push the film and destroy the characters. James Arnold Taylor will return as Ratchet, David Kaye as Clank, and Jim Ward as Captain Qwark. The film will be written by TJ Fixman, who has contributed to the scripts of past Ratchet & Clank games, including writing the first title in the series. Insomniac will help develop the film and help with characters and animation to make sure it has that Rachet & Clank feel. This movie can come fast enough. I got into the R&C games on the PS3, but now own every title and absolutely love them. This couldn’t have happened to a better franchise. Check out the official trailer below!
