Respawn and Release the Titanfall
One game that I kept from my Xbox One coverage was Titanfall because it needs it’s own introduction. Titanfall is first game from Respawn Entertainment. Respawn was put together after the falling out between Jason West and Vince Zampella, and their former employer Activision. West and Zampella we fired over “insubordination” counts, they also launched Activision’s largest franchise Call of Duty. Three years out of spot light and today they brought us the first gameplay look at their new title, Titanfall. Titanfall is a multiplayer FPS that will exclusive to the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Titanfall combines FPS gameplay, with fast jetpack based movement, and a dash of 16 foot tall mechs. The game feels like a mix of Battlefield and Mechwarrior, and that is not a bad thing. The game runs at a blistering 60 FPS and is rumored to run on Valve’s Source engine, if so, wow. I was thinking the Source engine was past it’s prime, but it could be time for a revival. We will have more on Titanfall as we find out more, but below is the gameplay footage that was at the Xbox One press event and a few screens of the pilots that you will play as. Enjoy!
