Dead Space: A Journey Through Terror

Outside of Resident Evil there are few Survival Horror games that stand out save one: The Dead Space series now I’m not saying that there aren’t any other games in the genre that deserve note but the Dead Space series is truly chill inducing. Because of this you may have been hesitant in giving these games a try well good news, among the many changes to the 3rd installment of the series you can now play co-op so you don’t have to be as afraid of what goes bump in the night…..or do you?

All that said EA has released a four-part mini-series called Dead Space: A Journey Through Terror showing some aspects of what to expect when you play this latest release in an already fantastic series, check them out:

I know, I know the narrator is well, really dry but these videos show case Dead Space 3 in all its dark foreboding splendor! Now a little warning… I have a love/hate relationship with the series because it can be so awesome and yet playing through these games can feel sometimes a bit angering, especially on the harder settings, the  game likes to constantly throw enemies at you from all directions and when you think you’re safe well that’s when you die. Maybe it’s just my lack of gaming fortitude but in my opinion in a effort to be challenging the AI will use ‘cheap’ tactics  in order to challenge the player  but please don’t let my lack of gaming skill deter you from checking out Dead Space 3!

If these videos aren’t enough to make up your mind head on over to the official dead Space 3 site here! Now, do you guys like it? Hate it? Nothing it? Do you have any tips for a weak-azz gamer like me?  Comment and be heard!

Dead Space 2 Reconfirmed for PC

There has been a lot of controversy involving Dead Space 2.  Earlier in the year it was announced that Dead Space 2 would not be coming to PC.  Then on May 12th on the offical Dead Space 2 twitter it was announced that Dead Space 2 would again be coming to the PC.

While it isn’t terribly shocking that EA has decided to go back on it’s decision to publish the game to PC it is surprising to find out that they are working on a Mobile/Handheld version of the game.  While this doesn’t tell us what platform it’s going to it is interesting none the less.  Perhaps PSP Go, Iphone, Ipad, Droid?  We will keep you updated as we get more info.

EA has promised that Dead Space 2 will be among the lineup of games they show off at E3 this year.  They did not specify however what platform they would be show casing it on.  Knowing EA it will most likely be the Xbox 360 version of the game.
