The Wonderful 101 is looking, well, Wonderful!
This morning Nintendo held a special Nintendo Direct featuring Hideki Kamiya and Platinum Games newest Wii U exclusive, The Wonderful 101. This game comes from the creators of titles like Viewtiful Joe, Bayonetta, Vanquish, and the Wii exclusive MadWorld. Platinum’s games are always stylish and creative even if the gameplay mechanics feel a bit familiar and The Wonderful 101 is no exception. With what looks more like a action oriented Pikmin, The Wonderful 101 will have you battling the evil Geathjerk invaders, and collecting more heroes to increase attack and puzzle solving skills. The game looks fantastic and I can not wait to get my hands on it and dust off my Wii U Gamepad (I know Pikmin 3 is out and it is one of the reasons I have the console; been a bit broke lately). The game will release on September 15th here in the States. There will be a demo you can get your hands on. It is available today for Europe and Japan since the game launches on August 23rd in those regions. Here in the States, we will be getting a demo as well closer to launch. The Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 were the reasons I picked up a Wii U and I am finally happy that these titles that were shown over a year ago are finally here. When the demo hits your respective store, please, check it out. The Nintendo Direct is below, and notice the great Iwata impression Kamiya-san is pulling off.
