Tomb Raider Game Looks Promising
Tomb Raider is getting a reboot, and so far the game play looks impressive as far as graphics go. The game is expected to release March 5, 2013. One thing that I am very happy about is the reboot of the character herself. Lara Croft has always been one of the big female gaming icons, but her previous design was always very sexual in nature. Huge breasts, abnormal curves and cartoonish features. The new Tomb Raider is Lara in her younger years, and she looks more believable. Everything about the new game looks gritty and real, the way someone really would look if they had been dragging themselves through forests and mud for days.
Tomb Raider will be for all three gaming platforms (xbox 360, PS3 and PC) and I have yet to decide if I will be purchasing the game for Xbox or PC. A very cool limited edition controller was just announced for the game, that I believe I might be grabbing as well as the game when it is released in March. I have to say that it is a game I have been excited about for quite a while.
Several gameplay trailers have been released for the game that also look compelling. Aside from the overuse of cries of agony and grunting, it looks like well varied game play. Below is an example of one of the gameplay videos.
