Lady, I love that you brought up that you played with your kids. Very few parents take the time to do things with their kids these days and I’m very impressed that you spent time doing that with your children.

Thank you for posting such an awesome comment!

Super Mario Brothers 3 is my favorite. I always played it with my kids when it first came out and we still play video games but that game brings back a lot of good memories.

My favorite game of all time is FFVII. I loved the story most of all & it really drew me in to feel like I know the characters. The game play was simple enough to understand & yet engaging. 🙂 Plus, my now husband & I used to play it together while we were dating. Well, he’d play & I’d watch most of the time, but yeah.

So many cool games but my Favorite is House of the Dead 3 on XBox because I can use gun controlers and Killing Zombies is the best. I’ve played Half Life also before and loved it. On XBox 360 Left for Dead is awesome. Same reason Killing Zombies is awesome. Shooter games are the coolest for me. Peace

Gotta say Diablo II on PC since it’s probably the most time I’ve spent playing anything.

Haha, I haven’t been on this site for QUITE a while!

Well, since you guys are giving away one of my favorite developers’ packs, I may as well enter.

My favorite game of all time would hands down be Assassin’s Creed 2. The graphics were beautiful on my PS3 and the story was amazing yet so confusing at the end that I actually went on a forum and discussed it with other people. xD

Anyway, the game was set in a great setting, Italy, and there was so much to do in it. I myself just breezed through most of the missions while at the same time collecting feathers and PS3 trophies. Quite a fun game, I must say. ^_^

Good luck to everyone on the giveaway, and hopefully I’m not too late!

My favorite game of all time has to be Kingdom hearts it combined two of my favorite things in the world final fantasy and disney. I love how it not only had beautiful graphics and excellent gameplay but the story was also amazing. Kingdom hearts will always be special to me because it was one of the first games I bought with my own money. It reminds me of being young and saving up every penny of my allowance just to buy the videogames I wanted.

I think my favourite game of all time would be Riven – the sequel to Myst. I just loved the puzzels there and the amount of good time trying to solve them. Back then the graphics was just extraordinary. Other Myst parts were either too simple or too hmm… annoying with their riddles. The story was also a big, big plus.

My favorite game of all time is without a doubt Starcraft/Broodwar. No other game have I played year after year (for 12 years until I got SC2). It’s truly astonishing (replayability wise) playing multiplayer after that long still never got boring and you see new things over a decade after the game was released… It is truly a challenge to beat your opponent and is tons more satisfying than beating any kind of AI (although I admit Portal was satisfying to figure out puzzles but no replayability… you know the answers).

Favorite game of all time. Always had trouble answering that question truthfully. A lot of good picks here already.

It’s hard to find that one game that truly marked you at one time of your life, and just made it truly special.

But I strongly believe my pick would be Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver for several reasons.

This is a game that starts off as a simple revenge plot, which is possibly one of the most common and clichéd plotlines nowadays.

However, no matter how overused a theme might be used, if the execution is well done, it can be truly memorable.

While I would explain the plot briefly, I believe the fantastic intro does the job way better than I could ever have: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFiLNc46jAM

I remember being around 7 years old, rewatching this over and over, and replaying the demo. That intro still wows me as much today as it did before.

When I did get the full game, I couldn’t keep the controller down. For a game that is named “Soul Reaver”, it sure must have harvested the souls of a lot of games in its time. This game had a personality very few matched.

Soul Reaver is set in a rich, dying world named Nosgoth. The entire atmosphere, from the art style, to the ambient soundtrack, helped flesh it out.

But possibly its biggest asset is its stellar voice acting.
All these well polished elements make for a very immersive experience, and keeps you interested and engaged in the storyline.

It helped me ace the English classes back when I was young, since I could actually use those “overly complicated” words at the time. Note that I’m not a native english speaker, so I do have this game to thank for that extra help.

It’s the best game of the series in my honest opinion, but the series seriously need a HD reboot, for every platform, so that people can again be interested in them.

And that’s my explanation for my favorite game ever. Sorry about the rather lengthy writing, but I felt I couldn’t make this any smaller, really.

Also, last but not least, thank you for this amazing giveaway.

Here’s hoping I win something, and good luck to everyone else!

My favorite game series would have to be any of the Ratchet and Clank games. Specifically the most recent game A Crack In Time because every game they build off of the previous. I just love the series and have followed it ever since it was created and i wish that Jak and Daxter was stilla round to compete with it. Sadly it ended and I don’t wish that it will come back because it had a definitive ending.

    Thanks for this great giveaway!

My favourite game is Mortal Combat 3. I think almost everybody know it 🙂
It was one of the first my videogames. It was not just a game, it was a great way to meet a friendly company and have some fun. It was so cool when you won and did fatalities, babalities and brutalities. So to say it was a sign of coolness 😀 Addition, it had a awesome single-player. I remember how I broke my controller, when was fight against Shao-Kahn. It can be concluded in the history of the MK world and great atmosphere created character models and maps. And even now, sometimes we’re going to remember the old days: start emulator and play MK 🙂
I think it still one of the best fightings, although 15 years have passed. (And, probably, the best fighting game for the PC)

P.S Sorry for my bad english 🙂

My favorite game of all time would have to be Tetris! I received my first copy of Tetris for the original gameboy (played it on my gameboy color) on my 8th birthday and haven’t been able to stop playing Tetris since. Tetris is just so simple and addicting. The arrangement of five different falling objects in a way that doesn’t leave gaps or holes is just fun to me. I love it, own it, and dream it ( literally ).

I’d have to say Goldeneye for the N64. The graphics felt insane at the time. I used to play it with my brother all the time in the summers. I’ve even played it in the last year. It’s still a great game. I also like the mod remake of it – Goldeneye Source.

The Katamari series is still able to hold my attention even after playing through every game available on Sony systems at least twice. It combines two things I love: cute stuff and violence. The music is also wonderful and gets me in the mood to wreck cities with my katamari of doom.

Portal was awesome with the puzzles. Halo 2, cool story, first fps I didn’t suck balls at. Bah. Too many choices! I guess we’ll go with FFX. I’d say FF7 but I never actually finished it… =/

My favorite game is Final Fantasy vi. The first time I saw the Opera, I was amazed at how cool it was. Each character had their own story that you could uncover. The music was incredible and it had one of the most ruthless villain in an RPG with Kefka.

Populous: The Beginning is my favorite game.

It introduced me to one of my favorite development studios, Bullfrog (now defunct by EA). It was a god-game where you controlled a tribe RTS-style and fought to take over the solar system. The graphics were 3D along with mixed 2D sprites. Go check it out.

Probably World of Warcraft. Not to say I love everything about it, at times it can be a slog, but the highs are probably higher than most of the other games I play. I met a lot of quality people there that I now play in other games with that has greatly enchanged my multiplayer gaming as a whol.

My all time favourite game is definitely Super Mario Bros.
It was my first game and it was the one that sucked me into gaming.
I really don’t think I have to describe it to you, however I can describe how I felt when I first played it.

The feel of the controller in my young, unblemished palms was great. It just felt…right, it felt at home in my hands. I saw the start-up screen for the game and felt a wild excitement growing in the back of my head. Then I pressed the ‘Start’ button and began playing the game. It was just magical, I kept playing until my mother snatched the controller from my sweaty hands and turned off the console (then I threw a tantrum)

The first thing I would do when I came back from school was turn on the console and start playing Super Mario. I never could beat it though (until many years later when i discovered the Warp Zones)

That is one experience I will definitely never forget!

@abouttandoutt Ohhhh sonic for the dreamcast was amazing. I played that game all the way through start to finish one summer. I actually have alot of bitter sweet memories with that system because I remember saving for it for sevearl month and my mother finally gave me the rest of the money i needed to buy it… shortly after I got it they announced they would be discontinuing the Dreamcast and no longer producing games for it. The Dreamcast was Uber cool because it could do ACTUAL internet surfing and I was blown away that you could do that. I do believe however that it was over a dial-up modem. Completely useless by todays standards but awesome none the less. It also, graphically, on the console side of things, way ahead of its time. The PS2 and Nintendo 64 didn’t have anything on the Dreamcast.

@markusveralius You know I almost forgot about this game. It’s probably one of the most underrated games on console systems ever because I don’t think anyone truly realizes what it did for the console industry. It showed that a shooter could be on consoles. I think it was more influential to the industry then even Halo was.

Funny thing mentioning Halo. I think halo is single handedly responsibly for the console industry today. If not for Halo I believe the Xbox console would of flopped.

@ everyone… i was going over all the games listed here and it’s so varied I don’t think there is one person who said that they liked the same game. I believe two people said Zelda and not even then were they the same game.

I think for favorite game(s) were the early star wars games. Has anyone here ever play Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Tie Fighter, Xwing vs Tie Fighter or Xwing Alliance. I think these would be in my top games of all time.

Contrary to popular games nowadays my favorite games were the games that I have the greatest memory of and that have stuck with me through those rainy days and was Sonic the HedgeHog for the GameGear and Dreamcast and Yoshi’s Island for the Gameboy Advanced. Might not have been as technologically advanced as some games nowadays but damn sure as fun as most of them. They were imho classics of the time of portable gaming. My steam account is abouttandoutt .Thanks for the Giveaway!

If I had a favorite game, it would be League of Legends. I found out about it from my cousin. League of Legends is a strategy game, kind of like DoTa. What made this game special to me was the bond between my cousin and me as we played this game. It was very fun, and the best part of it is that it’s free. You don’t need to pay any money for the in game items, and there’s a vast amount of champions you can play, and they give you 10 champions to play each week, which is another aspect of why I fell in love with League of Legends. Usually, I would play a game, then get bored of it after one week, but this game, I played for about 1-2 years. It was that addicting.
